Professor Ilgaz Yalvac graduated from the Medical School of Ankara University in 1984 and completed her residency in the Ophthalmology Department of Ankara Education Hospital in 1990. She worked as a visiting researcher at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology in Glasgow in 1990-1991. She had a fellowship program in Glaucoma at Oulu University in Finland between 1995-1996. Her achievements and awards include;
