Şimdiye kadar ulusal ve uluslararası  250 adet çalışması mevcuttur. Bunlar içinde 45 uluslararası makale,  12 kitap bölümü yazarlığı ve 2 kitap editörlüğü bulunmaktadır.

İstanbul Yeditepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Göz Hastalıkları Ana Bilim Dalı’nda Profesör olarak 2007-2022 tarihleri arasında çalışmıştır. Halen İstanbul’da özel ofisinde hasta kabülü yapmaktadır.

Professor Ilgaz Yalvac graduated from Medical School of Ankara University in 1984 and completed her residency at Ophthalmology Department of Ankara Education Hospital in 1990. She worked as visiting researcher at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and Tennent Institute of Ophthalmology in Glasgow in 1990-1991. She had a fellowship program in Glaucoma at Oulu University in Finland between 1995-1996. Achieved scholarship and awards are;

She has published 250 scientific articles (45 international articles) and written 12 textbook chapters (Editorship of 2 books) in the field of Glaucoma.

She worked as a Professor in Istanbul Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology between 2007-2022. Now, she is accepting patients in her private office in Istanbul.
